This policy applies to a Uway Pro subscription (monthly and yearly) sold through us.
The Free plan involves no payment and is therefore outside this policy.
This policy forms part of the Uway Terms of Service. If the Terms and this policy conflict, this policy prevails as to refunds.
Uway's paid subscription is sold by Paddle as the legal seller — the Merchant of Record. Payment and refunds are therefore handled by Paddle, and we do not collect or store your payment details.
Receipts and billing statements are issued by Paddle, and card statements show the charge as PADDLE.NET*.
Refunds for a Uway Pro subscription are received, reviewed and processed by Paddle, the seller; an approved refund is returned to your original payment method. The refund windows that apply are set out below.
| Basis | Detail |
|---|---|
| Our policy · 14 days | You may request a refund within 14 days of the payment date. |
| Korean statutory right · 7 days | Korean law gives consumers the right to cancel a digital content or service contract unconditionally, within 7 days of the payment date, and receive a full refund (Paddle Refund Policy, section 2.4). This statutory right cannot be shortened by agreement. We apply a longer window of 14 days, so the statutory 7 days is always included within our 14-day basis. |
You receive Paddle's purchase confirmation and receipt immediately on payment. A consumer's statutory right of withdrawal cannot be shortened by agreement, and because our 14-day basis is longer than the Korean statutory minimum (7 days), your rights are in no case reduced.
Refunds are received and processed directly by Paddle, the seller. Please make your request within 14 days of the payment date, using one of the following two methods.
A yearly subscription can likewise be refunded within 14 days of the payment date. After that, cancel the subscription to stop the next renewal (see section 7).
We do not pay refunds to you directly. The refund is received and paid by Paddle, the seller, so please submit your request to Paddle directly.
If you experience persistent technical issues with the purchased service, or a material defect that prevents you from accessing the features or benefits as described, please:
You can cancel at any time, using one of the following two methods.
Cancellation takes effect at the end of the applicable billing period and prevents any further payments from being taken. You can keep using the service until the end of the period you have already paid for.
Cancelling and refunding are different. Cancelling on its own does not automatically refund an amount you have already paid. To get money back, please request it separately within 14 days of the payment date, following section 4.
Even where a request does not fall within the periods set out in this policy, Paddle, the seller, may approve a refund at its discretion. Discretionary refunds are reviewed on a case-by-case basis, and any refund granted by Paddle at its discretion is voluntary and does not create an obligation to grant a similar refund in the future.
This section does not limit your statutory rights and does not reduce the refund basis set out in this policy.
This policy does not limit your statutory rights. Your right of withdrawal under Korean consumer law (the Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce), your remedies for a defective or undelivered product, and any other mandatory rights take priority over this policy.
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the changes and the effective date on this page. The version in effect at the time of your payment governs that payment.
This policy follows the governing law and dispute-resolution provisions of the Uway Terms of Service. Disputes relating to this policy will be resolved in accordance with the procedure set out in the Terms.
All refund requests and refund-related inquiries are handled through Paddle.
The Korean version of this Refund Policy is the authoritative text and prevails in case of conflict.
